Jewellery making course

Fashion ornaments of all kind have long been used as a tool for connecting us with the helpful natural forces. Often know as Sacred or Power Jewellery.
Power jewellery can be any wearable ornament of natural materials such as clay, that you create with a specific intention in mind. Your creation will not only act as an attractive accessory, but more so it will affect your aura if wearing it close to your skin.

Who this course is for?

The course id open to all levels and abilities and those who have attended at least one session of Healing Pottery course or have made enough items ready for Raku glazing and firing on the first session.

What the course involves?

Here you will learn to work with a wide range of materials as listed below and explore the ancient's wisdom of sacred jewellery making as magical practice for protection, enchantment and self-empowerment.
Make your own exquisite pieces of power jewellery such as beads, medallions, charms,
using :
Raku, Earthenware, Stoneware and Porcelain clays.
Glazes (China painting and Raku glazing)
Precious metal Lusters (24 crt Gold, Mother of pearl)
Once you have made a number of beads, charms and amulets during the Healing Pottery sessions, the ones which are bisque- fired can now be Raku glazed and fired producing some astonishing results.

After the firing process you will learn how to string your beads and attach clasps and findings to finish your work.

For vegetarian students there is Faux leather and man-made materials available to use. Or you can choose natural and organic materials such as real leather strings, feathers and shells to accompany your creation...

The healing aspect of this course

This course is a true hands on experience with 5 Elements revealing the healing properties of minerals/ glazes used for balancing the chakras, protection against negativity and reconnecting yourself with the abundant Universal Love.
A unique combination of pottery making and spiritual enchantment: through working with: Earth (clay), Metal (glazes), Water (healing), Wood (creativity), Fire (transformation and Joy).

Optional: You can also learn how to consecrate your item(s) trough working with Reiki Raku Kei (Breath of Fire) for activating a delightful sense of inner well-being and personal enlightenment when wearing your creation.

How the course is organised?

The course is 4 hour in total, spread over two Tuesdays evenings. Each session is 2 hour long.
The first session is about designing and making your items and the second session is for Raku glazing and open air firing (you will have enough time to string and assemble your beads into a neckless or pendent).
For those who can not attend the course on Tuesdays, a Sunday intensive can be arranged by prior agreement ( Please enquire in advance).
